WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • The Bible is the Word of God and is true and complete. It is our only authority for belief and practise (Hebrews 4:12).
  • God created all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 11:3).
  • God sent His Son to provide salvation for all, by His death on the cross, but only those who believe in Him as their personal Saviour are the possessors of eternal life (John 3:16-17).
  • Each gathering of Christians, or assembly, is non-denominational. It is answerable directly to the Lord Jesus; there is no central authority or governing body (Revelations 2-3).
  • All believers are equal. We have no system of clergy, but are dependant upon the guidance of God through elders (1 Peter 5:1-4).

WHAT WE DO

  • Baptism of believers by immersion in water as a public confession of their faith (Acts 8:35-39).
  • The Lord’s Supper (sometimes called the Breaking of Bread) is every Sunday. This obeys the Lord’s command, “Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19).

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

The gospel is God’s good news of love and salvation to the world.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY…

ABOUT GOD?

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

ABOUT EVERYONE?

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, everyone, to his own way; Isaiah 53:6

ABOUT YOU?

Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. Acts 16:32

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Mark 8:36
